Hibiscus recommendation for Chameleon
Hello, I'm completely new to Hibiscuses. I am looking for a recommendation for a hibiscus to house inside of a Reptarium for my pet veiled chameleon to live with. I've selected this species as they are non-toxic to chameleons and they even enjoy ingesting the leaves and flowers from time to time. So ideally I'd like to have a plant that will thrive in the following Reptarium conditions.
It should be compact, but large enough for a 6 to 8 inch reptile to maneuver through. The bulk of the plant should not grow larger than 2-3 feet tall and no wider than 1.5 feet (it should be hardy enough to trim when it starts to outgrow the space). It should be able to handle semi-tropical humidity (approx 60%). Should be able to withstand some heat (temps will range from approx 70 to 85 degrees). I can provide any lighting needs for the plant. I've been told Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis (rose of china(?)) is a good choice. Can any one confirm this? Also, I'm looking for an online store to purchase the Hibiscus. Does anyone know where these are sold? Thanks in advance
