My green beans are growing full and I'd like to know when I can begin to harvest them?
Pick a few and eat them. Thats how we all do it. The internal bean should be nice and full.
Not sure why this is an ASAP!!!!! question. No need to panic. String beans can be picked at any stage. Some prefer them when young and tender before the pods begin to fill with beans inside, some prefer them full and hard with beans inside. It is your choice.

Thank you, and its to get everyone's attention.
and its to get everyone's attention.
Then net etiquette says it's best to save such demands for attention for questions that really do need an answer ASAP. :)
Meanwhile you can easily find the answer to your question on both the Vegetable Gardening forum and even on the Beans & Legumes forum here since those forums focus on that issue. The focus of this forum is food preservation and storage and many times those who are in the middle of canning something really do need an answer ASAP.
LOL, well said Dave
Yeah, I imagined an exploded steam canner with jelly on the ceiling.
