Moving and would like to transplant my herb garden, is it possible. Have sage, oregano, savory, thyme, Burnett, tarragon, marjoram.
I potted-up all my herbs before we moved and most survived. All are still in their large pots and doing well a year and a half later.
The only one I'm unsure of is Burnett. All the others can be potted up from your garden.
I've kept burnett in a large Earthbox for 3 years now. I think if you're careful with it, it should transplant okay, though it is the most tender of what you listed.
I think the thing is to make sure they've had time to adjust and get over the first transplant shock before trying to put them in ground and giving them another transplant shock.
