Leaves turning Red on Lemon Balm & Catmint

equinecpa(4)July 2, 2013

I have a lemon balm and catmint newly planted this year. Many of their leaves are turned red with brown spots. I plucked off the affected leaves from my lemon balm this morning and have attached a picture of them.

I garden at 8800' so was wondering if this is a pest or perhaps sun burn?

I would expect the plant to recover/get green when the weather gets more normal.
