I didn't know about the white type either. I also didn't know turk's cap bloomed in the summer. I've always thought of it as a fall, winter flower. Very pretty!

Do hummingbirds and butterflies use it?
Do the flowers come upright or do they hang down like the more common red ones.
I would love to get a plant, but I have never seen a place that sells them. Any suggestions?

Bill - The variety that is "dwarf" begins blooming early summer. It is a much daintier plant than the large sized variety. Much less common to find for sale. My larger variety blooms in the fall.
Need to come to Sylvia's swap this fall, if she has one, ( hint, hint)......cool stuff ..........
