Mint in constant light shade?

TrackrAugust 7, 2014

I live in an apartment and I have a small little balcony that I want to use to grow some mint. The only problem is, it never gets full sunlight, but it's usually a pretty light shade as the sunlight around here is pretty intense and it's not too far away.

If Mint won't grow, can you recommend another herb or small plant that will?

Thank you!

Mint should be fine. Most herbs like sun but mint can cope with some shade, as can parsley.

Mint seems to like shade. We have some growing under huge juniper bushes, and also in partial shade elsewhere. We did not plant this mint, but probably a previous owner did. It's the best mint I ever had.

Yours will do fine. They like moisture, so keep them watered.
