Ideas for use of cinnamon basil?

john3(7a)August 18, 2005

Tried this from seed this year; have put leaves in hot breakfast cereal like multi-grain and/or oatmeal. So far it seems to function more as an attractive/leaf fragrant annual. Any suggestions for cooking usage, you've employed, are welcome.

I love cinnamon basil, and use it just like regular sweet basil. It even makes great pesto (you can use a flavorless oil, like canola or grapeseed).

John -- I love cinnamon basil!

I just posted three recipes for you -- unfortunately I put them on the "lemon basil" thread!
