My pilot apologized for the delay getting in but I was in a party mood so I told him not to sweat it. Hope you guys had as much fun watching as I did living all of the events of the day...
Shame you didnt offer to give him a few new dance moves.
Didn't want to make things look too sensual...
The official inaugural balls were a corporate/lobbyist sponsored event.
It's been that way for a long time and there is no intention to change it soon.
Says one of the 1% who paid the way...
"This is our welcome to the new president, the new administration and the new Congress," said Robin Bronk of the coalition, which pushes domestic movie production. "We believe in making our issues heard."
Not your issues, their issues.
I'm so happy we have the 1% to pay the way for such glamorous events. Aren't you?
700 private jets? Really? Well....
Lower your thermostat, you're destroying my planet!
I bet you drive a big ole truck.
Nope...silly....I drive a Hybrid Ford Fusion. I sold the Tundra when I moved to Central Ohio. No need for a truck. I have 3 grandkids. :)
That's cool. Do you like it? I just leased a Mini Cooper and still haven't bought gas!
There were just two (2) official Inaugural Balls - There will be just two official parties plus a concert honoring military families.
All the other ones were private, starting on January 17, and privately paid for, so I guess they can invite who they want, and those invitees can get there any way they want. The President didn't make an appearance at those functions.

I do like it! It's well built and the mileage is excellent. My only disappointment is that it's made in Mexico.
The rear seat is a bit crowded when going to the zoo. A 6 year old, 3 year old and a 4 month old need a bit more space between car seats in order to keep peace in the family. :) Thankfully it's only a 3 mile trip.
There were just two (2) official Inaugural Balls.
I stand corrected. There were (10) official Balls in 2009, not 2013.
That's a lot of car seats! I considered the Prius but I just couldn't wrap my mind around not hearing the car engine! The car makers should figure out how to install a fake engine sound for those of us who can't get on board with the silence.
Made in Mexico is good. A strong Mexican economy will redound to us too!
700 private jets flew in for the inaugural!
Not true. The correct number is 320 according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
Do they have valet parking?
My private jet was in the shop.
The other 1%'ers laughed at me and revoked my invite because I was too poor to have a backup plane.
They even started mocking me and calling me a 2%'er.
You need a govt voucher...
JG, you can try baseball cards on the wheel spokes. That's sort of an engine sound.

Oh, for the days of a card, a clothespin, a bike and no worries!
