Presto Pressure canner questions
I just got a new Presto pressure canner and have a couple questions that I couldn't find the answers to in the manual or by searching.
First It has a dial pressure gauge but I got the weighted pressure regulator per Dave's recommendation (thanks Dave).But I know from reading that some canners the regulator is supposed to shimmy a couple times a minute and some are supposed to slowly shimmy constantly, which is this one?
Also I know I can double stack pints in this canner due to the size. But do I need to buy another rack to stack them on or can I use anything to do it with? I have an old rack from a small grill that was never used that fits in there will that work?
My canner calls for 3 quarts of water when canning if I double stack do I need to add more? If the canning recipe calls for 20 minutes at 10# do I need to up the time or pressure when I double stack?
