Growth on my rocket

EnepplNovember 6, 2012

Hi im quite new to gardening and have been attempting my first ever seed harvest of a rocket plant that i planted some months ago. I have gotten one seed pod off my plant which has hundreds but over the past 2 days it has acquired a bluish whitish growth on the stem which i am concerned about. I think it may be eggs of some sort or a disease... If anyone could have a look and let me know what it is that would be great :D

Those are aphids. If you prod them they will move. Just swoosh them off with the hose or your fingers. No need to reach for the chemicals on a single pod.
