PIneberries, anyone?

Has anyone tried growing pineberries? I must confess I'd never heard of them till a neighbor was asking me about how they'd do down here. I would guess the same as any regular strawberry, but I see they are listed as an ever-bearing variety and I thought that June-bearing were preferred for FL.

Anyone have any experience? The white pine sure does look interesting in the photos.

Sorry! Couldn't resist. That is the weirdest fruit I have ever seen. Apparently no one else is familiar with it either. Give it a shot. If you're successful you'll be the go to expert on pineberries on the forum!
