Looking for Salvia Apiana Plant

aloefreak1(8 AZ)December 30, 2012

I have recently found myself interested in salvia plants, more specifically, salvia apiana. Does anyone know a website that has S. apiana? I know there's plenty of sites that I can buy seeds from but I'm looking to take the lazy way out and buy a plant rather than starting seeds. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
Also on a side note, does anyone know the legality of growing salvia divinorum in Arizona? I live on a military installation and wouldn't want any trouble for growing plants lol

Richters herbs has S. apiana for sale. Has S. divinorum too. A military installation may have different regulations than even the state of Arizona but you may try the link below.

I got a S. divinorum plant from Richters a while back. I wanted to grow the plant before it became illegal to do so - growing a plant is the way I like to "meet" plants. It did well for a while but winter conditions in the house (cold and dry) were not to its liking and it never bounced back from that and eventually died. If I recall, it prefers warm, moist locations - opposite my house in winter.

I'm pretty sure I got mine at Las Pilitas or Mountain Valley Growers:
