My sob story
It has been probably close to a year since I posted on here, around the time I got back from David Liddle's last year. I started working doing landscaping after my Horticulture program ended. A month into my new job I found out I had a large tumour on my C6 Vertebrae. That was horrible news to hear but my specialist was certain it wasn't cancer and said I should work for the summer and enjoy things till winter. I managed to keep working though it hurt a fair amount.
Anyways, the surgery went forward in January. What a horrible experience! One of the doctors ODed me on morphine 2 days post-op and I went into complete respiratory arrest and nearly died. Needless to say Im glad to be home.
I guess the reason I'm posting this on here is because some of you might sympathize with returning home after an absence and finding a number of your much loved hoyas dead or dying :( I've lost a number of my hoyas I brought back from David which really sucks because he helped me pick them out. My H. Retusa is the latest to die, such a cool looking plant it was! ARG!
Well I am glad to be home, and alive, and excited to get back into my lovely hoya collection. Hopefully I can save the ones I have and replace the ones I've lost at some point! I definitely wont be able to join in any orders this year but next year for sure!
Sorry, end of novel here! ;)
Glad to be back.
