Basil pesto

ymn1(7)August 11, 2011

Hi, I was wondering if you grind up the leaves and stems when making pesto or if you use only the basil leaves. If you have a good recipe, please post. Thanks!

Leaves only. And preferably the most tender leaves picked before flowering.

Here's an old thread with a lot of information on pesto and preservation.
