prolific pod setting daylilies

signet_gwOctober 4, 2013

I have had a lot of major garden projects this season and so I am behind on weeding and cleaning of the gardens. I have started recently on a particular bed and was shocked to discover this particular plant had set a lot of pods. When I say a lot , I do mean a lot. Now these are all bee pods as didn't do any hybridizing with this particular plant but I just finished counting the pods . Are you ready for the count .....I wasn't ! I counted 223 pods on Tennessee Tan. I do remember it set a large number of pods last year too but I didn't count them .

My question is this .....what plants do others have that are prolific pod setters? Please share your experiences

I will take some pics and try to post
