Will I ever see leaves again?

EcopalNovember 11, 2011

Hey everybody,

Three months ago I took a small mango tree about a foot and a half out of the ground and without damaging the roots placed it in a 75 gallon bucket. After about a week due to transplant shock all the leaves fell off and the top became dried and brittle. But the overall branch is still green. Does that mean that there is still hope? Will it eventually sprout new leaves and continue to grow?

I would say yes. As long as there is green stems, there is hope. It sounds like transplant shock to me. Keep it well watered and it should leaf out again. :o)
