I want to try Pickle Crisp in my dried beans today. How much PC per quart?
I just put some beef in the canner now. As soon as that comes out, the beans are going in.
I don't do pickled beans, but I used it on cucumber pickles and zucchini pickles this summer and was really impressed with the results. I just used the label rate, but can't remember what that is off the top of my head.
I ended up using the label rate - which was 1/4 tsp per quart. But they only mention pickles on the label. I had read somewhere on this forum that people were using 1 tsp per quart for potatoes. I guess I'll crack a jar real soon to check the texture and adjust my PC accordingly for future batches.
