first one!-- from south austin

hooray,, they're here!!!... I've been watching my feeder like a hawk, and have a few things blooming but not a huge display of red flowers yet. (I did put a few fake ones up to lure them to the feeder though). But this afternoon I was out in the yard and saw/heard one whiz by, from the direction of the feeder back into the woods! It was shy, though.. I think it was checking out the scene but I never did see it come back to the feeder.. am guessing it might be a female. More to report soon!
