Freezing Hubbard Squash

I recently became the recipient of four 20 lb or so Hubbard squash. I know they will stay for a long period of time in a cool dry place , but 20 lbs is a lot of squash once you begin to use it. Can it be frozen? If so is it blanched and frozen like other vegetables or fully cooked then frozen. Thank you

It is not fully cooked, just cooked until soft enough to remove from the rind. You can do it in the oven or in the microwave or even in boiling water. Then mashed or cut into chunks and frozen in serving sized packages. See link below for details.

I fully cook mine then run through a strainer to remove fibers then freeze the puree. However, that's a personal choice as it's then ready for pies, quick breads and soups.

I can chunks, so that I don't take up too much freezer space.
