I have a 1975 edition. Is this an accepted source today?

Also, is there an acceptable method of canning washington navel?

If you have recipes that you would like to know if there are updated versions or safe alternative, just call your local county extension agent.

Canning oranges is not a problem. They are a high-acid fruit. Check the link below for information on oranges, including various methods of preservation.

No, very outdated. While the instructions for some acidic foods may not have changed much, there have been several major changes in other canning guidelines since 1975. Unfortunately, even later editions of the Sunset publications have failed to incorporate needed changes in some of their instructions.
