seedling transplants in greenhouse?
Where I live, due to the short growing season, you have to do most of your veggies as seedling transplants.
I asked if you could direct sow veggies outdoors in southern climates, due to the long growing season and it being warm.
The reply was yes but with tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers, you had to start from transplants because they take so long to germinate, and take the longest to mature.
Since the temperature is warm, and the growing season is long, I was wondering if you could start seedlings from seed in a greenhouse?
Also, was wondering if you could start them early since they'd be grown in a greenhouse?
This is off-topic, but can somebody recommend heat tolerant varieties of peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants? For tomatoes, it would be cherry, slicers (best use fresh), and romas. Eggplant would be globe, Chinese (long and slender), and Thai (circular), and peppers (sweet and hot).
I know they like heat, but if it becomes too hot, they won't do well.
