Thanksgiving leftovers, giblet gravy with dumplings!

I got called in to work while making a late Thanksgiving dinner Sunday. My Wife was visiting her family out of town.

I forgot to turn off the dressing in the oven, :( it was burned when my wife found it, she wasn't home when I got called.

I dug out some of the stove top stuffing and fixed it. I don't like it. Blah!

My giblet gravy was really good though. And I decided to add some dumplings yesterday on a whim.

I think I might skip the traditional dressing next year!

I like StoveTop, but I make sure I use chicken broth instead of water. Much better that way.

It's all in what you like best, isn't it? Personally, we've found the sausage and fennel stuffing from Cook's Illustrated to be one of the best. I like StoveTop too for quick fix, but it really doesn't compare to 'real' stuffing.

I've tried to make homemade stuffing, and it was very time consuming. We don't eat that much stuffing, so Stove Top works for us.
