Hummer with white crown???

HeatherAtl11September 29, 2012

I was just out watching my beautiful hummers having some breakfast and a very unusual (and a quite timid) hummer flew up. He has a white corwn. I'm attaching a photo. He's the little guy in the back looking at me. Does anyone have any idea what type he might be? I've never seen another like him. He's so cool and I'm honored to have him! Thanks in advance for any response,

Heather

Could it be an "ink mark" from a banded hummingbird?

Could be a banders mark or could be simple pollen.

I had 2 'She's' like this. The first I called Gena, at my old house. I moved and 2 year later, I had another. Her female children also had this mark. The next generations have not.
I can not tell you which type this bird is from thie photo. Mine were Rubythroated.
