Self incompatibility in cyclamen persica?

dogdaze3001September 27, 2007

I have recently become interested in the breeding of Cyclamen Persica - in particular the miniatures.

Does any one know if these are self incompatible or can I self as and when required?

This is an older message, so you've probably already looked for the answer elsewhere, or already tried it yourself.

Darwin cites a test of Cyclamen and notes a 62% reduction in seed production for self pollinated plants. That should still give you enough seed to work with.

Here is a link that might be useful: Planting seed
