We had one at our feeder at about 6:20 PM.
wow, and here I was going to take my feeders down this weekend. May wait another week now.
Have you seen them this late before? Or is this 'late'? (new to hummers)
well, we saw hummers yesterday & today, so I guess the feeders stay up at least another week!
Back again Thursday...
cool, we saw 2 today, on the feeders and working the red sage plants. One peeped in the window at me before he flew off.
Good photos! Keep feeding them, they remember from year to year and will return to you. You can build a flock over a few years, or so I am told and the literature mentions the trait.
No more hummingbirds in the last several days. And the weather has been cool and rainy every day. I think that's it for this year. I took the feeders down and put them away. I've been putting a few cuttings into the ground. Monarda, perennial Sage, Pinks and Lonicera sempervirens. It could work.....
