Any word about viable impatience

garden_grammie(SE Pa.)March 4, 2013

Has anyone heard if impatience will be a safe bet this year? I am planning my gardens and wonder if I should include them this year after the terrible disease problem of last year.

No Impatiens walleriana (the shade garden impatiens) coming down the pipes, yet. I would avoid them entirely, if I were you.

Again, if you have any locations with more sunlight, you could try the SunPatiens and the New Guineas, both of which are continuing to remain resistant to Impatiens Downy Mildew.

I agree with Rhizo - don't waste your money on Impatiens wallerania this year.
