Coral swirl Impatiens

aker(7)March 11, 2009

Last summer I collected seeds from my coral swirl impatiens and am now growing the seedling. So far there seem to be differences in the foliage. Some are more green while others have pink marks under the leaves.

My question is: do they breed true? Will the flowers be the same color?

Happy gardening :-)

I have a heck of a time pulling volunteers, so I usually let them go. Here's a string of volunteers that grew from CRIMSON, WHITE and PURPLE STAR Imps-

None were purple star... very few whites... some reds... I didn't plant PINK, but got pink...

My guess is you'll get a gamut of colors... which is sorta fun!
