Problem, sticky Impatien leaves.

cherrylane(z5NY)May 7, 2005

Help! Alot of my impatiens are covered with something sticky and some of them are drying out along the edges. They were fine yesterday. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are they under a tree? Some trees drip sap or honeydew from aphids. Are there other plants that have the same problem. The dry leaf tips could be from dry air or not enough water maybe.
