African Inpatiens

derfy(5 MI)June 26, 2004

any one have any experience

With a lot of effort I finally got some seeds to germinate

I am now ready to put them outside

Any differences in care and location from regular impatiens?

Shade, they don't seem to like sun at all. Also they do well in drier soil than regular bedding Impatiens. Too much water and they will drop the flowers and lower leaves.

The ones I have are very vigorous plants, but so far not exactly covered in flowers, but that might be normal.
