Type of impatiens

giftplannerJuly 10, 2006

I have some plants in my backyard that have been identified as impatiens, but they are over 5ft. tall. They are suffering from some sort of disease that produces drooping leaves and eventual curling. Some of the leaves look distorted and have brown areas and some evidence of being eaten. Any thoughts?

Its hard to tell with out seeing the plant. It could be many things. Lack of water, to much sun or incect damage. Your plant may be Impatiens sodenii which can get taller.
