This hosta looks so beautiful in the 'perfect' gardens. Is it as nice in regular people's gardens? Is it stable?
Thanks in advance for posting your pics.
I lost my Ice Age Trail over the winter. I had to divide out a couple of solid blue eyes in past years. All of the Ice Age Trails that I've seen in nurseries have eyes that turned solid blue.
Here are the two I bought the other day to replace the one I lost. The one I bought never had this much streaking.
Can't find any pics right now, but I will tell ya this.
I bought this plant in 2007. It's still a single, pathetic 1-eye plant.
Year two and just unfurling, my IAT was never as yellow as yours above.
The ones that you have posted look really nice. ty
I'm a bit late to the show.
This is my IAT, this is its second year in my garden.
Its dark, but in total shade. No solid leaves so far, this is year 2.
My three year old plant was dug up last
Fall to be treated for Nematodes and then potted up and this year has been growing in heavy shade. Not near as colorful this year .
They look good, I think it must go on 'the list'.
here is my first year iat from log
Gesila... I also lost my IAT and was wondering if you would share where you found yours ? Since I have to replace it anyways, It would be interesting to find one similar to yours with all that yellow in it, and see if they fair any better in our zone (especially).
I think I remember Gesila saying that she bought those local.
Here's mine! It's about 4 years old. I have done a few crosses with it this year too.
Here's mine, just received it today from LOTG
