Well Water...Disaster?

jaybuster(5)April 17, 2008

I just got my well water analysis back. It's ugly:

Ca Calcium: 104

T.D.S. (Total Dissolved Solids): 546

Mg Magnesium: 33

"Hardness" (undefined): 396mg/l

pH: 7.00

According to my newbie interpretation, the pH is manageable, but what about the 546 TDS and the calcium? Am I doomed?

You certainly need not add much calcium and magnesium to this water.
Why don't you mix your own nutrient? You can then accommodate the water composition.
In your case you would only need some Potassium nitrate and phosphate and (maybe) some sulphate. There's really noting to it.
