Ish! Hydrangea rooting failure!

catsgurleygirl(7)July 3, 2009

I feel a bit stupid about this, but my six hydrangea cuttings made from 2 branches of a neighbors hydrangea appear as though they are not going to make it, and I have no idea why. I did the whole "trimming down the leaves, rooting hormone (not too much), no direct sun (indoors) and daily misting. It has been around 2 weeks and the leaves look really rough. Some of them are dry (even though they soil is moist) and they seem to be dying. I have two that look like they may survive, though, they are a bit sad looking. I really have no idea why I am not succeeding.

Hi - I found an old, archived thread on "Easy Propagation Chamber" complete with detailed pics, Q&A as well ... an excellent tutorial on the subject!

Google the thread name, it'll get you there. Good Luck!!!
