Remove old flowers in warm climate?

hawaii50(z10 HI)July 22, 2009

I live in a warm climate where the temperature never gets below 60 degrees F. I've been removing the old flowers from my mopheads (Nikko Blue and Penny Mac) when they begin to turn pale. Is that okay, or should I stop doing that?
