Not Stepping Out?

sherryaustin(9b)April 17, 2013

Last summer I posted a picture of what I thought was 'Stepping Out'. Someone kindly informed me that I was mistaken... So, the search goes on. It's been in the garden since '98 or '99.. I can't remember if I dug it up from my old place when I moved... Most likely, it was an impulse buy in a little mesh bag at someplace like OSH... It's usually the first among the modern TB's to bloom and does so over a long period. 34" tall, nice scent.
Some possibilities:
Rare Treat, Classic Look, Blue Stacatto (too tall?)

I think it is 'Classic Look', but it could be 'Rare Treat'. RT is usually more ruffled. I grow 'Classic Look' and mine is about to bloom right now too.
That's a spectacular clump.

Gorgeous- it looks like Classic Look. Here's a photo of a clump I used to have. I pulled all purple out of my garden one year, then regretted it, and had to buy 'Classic Look' all over again. It's just starting to turn back into a clump.

Oh that's nice Renee.. I found an old picture you posted of Classic Look on the forum, and one someone else posted. I think that's what it is.. Good call.
Is that Calla 'Green Goddess' next to it? Always wanted to get that.. So many plants, so little time....

Really nice combination with the pink roses and grape vine. I will have to try that myself!
