Double Blooms on Blushing Bride?

msalcido(7/8 (Dallas/Ft.Worth))July 18, 2010

Hi everyone,

Is it unusual for BB to have double blooms. Mine has double blooms. Some of them have two extra petals in the middle while others have 3. Here are some photos.

No, it is not unusual (unless your BB does not do it and then you probably will disagree! Ha!). Others too have reported here that BB tends to sport double blooms. Enjoy, msalcido!

Thanks Luis! I did some research today and found this -

"Pure white blooms with semi-double florets gradually mature to a sweet, pink blush."

Donna - I'm going to root a few clippings, I'll be happy to send you a couple. : )

Mike, thanks for the offer, but you root them and the interesting thing will be to see if next year you get doubles again on the same plant! I hope so! I'll be satisfied with my single for now, as it is a plant I made from cuttings, maybe in the future, mine will also give doubles, anyway single or double it's one lovely flower!!
