Yellow Bearded Dwarf NOID

MommaCarp(5)April 28, 2011

My grandmother sent me a bunch of these from her upstate NY rock garden. They were in the garden already when she moved into the house, so she couldn't give me a name with them. They are only about 12" tall and are yellow with yellow beards and a trace of brown on the falls. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It's a cutie-pie!

You might try the link below.

Also Historic Iris Preservation Society (HIPS) photo page.

Bluebird Haven Iris.

I wish you the best luck, but if you don't find its name, you can do what the Texas Rose Rustlers do & assign it a study name; "Grandmother's Rock Garden" for instance.

Here is a link that might be useful: Brighton Park Iris

Thanks for the links! I looked around a little and I think it may be Mister Roberts. The Brighton Park website had a good picture of it. If anyone agrees or disagrees I'd love to hear your opinions. Until then, that's what I'm sticking with :)
