My new hydroponic system is finally up and running for a full wee

rayinpenn(6)September 16, 2012

My new hydroponic system is finally up and running for a full week. When I first put the plants in then looked terrible from all the handling. In 24 hours they had all perked up nicely. I was just out in the greenhouse a full week later and they looked great and one particular romaine lettuce plan seems to have doubled in size.

My only regret is that here in southeastern pennsylvania I may not enough time for a second crop. I dont think I want to go the basement with lights route but we will see when I get that December gardening withdrawel.

Do it! Go inside with your hydro system and get some lights. I've grown Corn Tomatoes and Peppers for more than 16 years indoors and its AWESOME! Nothing like making fresh salsa, not canned, in the middle of winter! Peppers can grow for years if given the chance. GO FOR IT :)

Indoor hydro is a great way to go for so many reasons. As Dennis says, great way to pass the time as well.
Plus leafy greens are mighty fine when grown at home!
