Cajun Rhythm with Attractive Lady in the foreground:
Coral Chalice, a favorite
Walking On Air again:
I like Attractive Lady but Coral Chalice is my favorite. Marg
Coral Chalice is kind of like a reverse Cajun Rhythm. Very neat to see. And Attractive Lady is substantial and frilly. It is interesting how the forms of blooms differ, and you can really see it when they are side by side, but it is hard to describe with words. So I appreciate your photos. Thanks.
I just love that second picture clump/garden shot. You know I love to see them in the garden. Simply stunning!
I love the garden shots too. Once more of mine grow into clumps, I will post more of those shots.
Attractive Lady is a big flowers that has great substance- it lasted for four days despite temps unexpectedly rising to over 90 for one day and then back down to the 70s. Cajun Rhythm does not like the heat at all, and lasts just two days when it's over 90. Coral Chalice is bigger than it was last year. It is supposed to rebloom, but it has not done it for me. I'll report if it does. It lasted three days in the heat. I should probably grow more early bloomers since it gets so dang hot here.
Cajun Rhythm really has pizzazz. May I ask what camera you use?
I love your combinations of plants Renee! And Coral Chalice is just so beautiful, my favorite in these photos. Thank you so much!
I use a Nikon D60 in point-and-shoot mode. It is hard to capture blues well, and saturated reds and oranges fuzz out. It will not take a decent photo of a white flower in the sun. I need to learn how to use it right.
Coral Chalice is a wonderful flower. I have it planted in three spots, and I can't wait for it to grow into big clumps.
I just love your Plum Pretty Whiskers. Could you tell us where you got it?
Plum Pretty Whiskers was from BlueJ Iris. They sell out very early, though, so you have to order in January to beat the crowd.
