Can someone ID this Iris?

Hello everyone,

I found these irses when I first moved into this house. They must have been part of an old flower bed. I moved them and this is what bloomed - does someone know the name?

My 'Frank Adams' opened yesterday and looks just like your iris. There may well be others that look similar.

It looks just like that! My house was built in 1941 and I was reading that it was introduced in 1937. I'd like to think that the iris has been there that long. :) The people before me did no landscaping at all, but I know there was a widow in the house originally before it went through a stream of renters.

thanks so much!
