I got a GH Waterfarm. Now what? Do I really need any kinds of meters?
Buy yourself one of those pH indicator sets. Those that use a vial and coloring drops. Best from an aquarium shop. They're only a few bob.
The range should be from pH6 to pH8
Thanks for the tip.
If you are going to grow successfully in hydro, careful knowledge and control of Ph and EC are critical.
Ph indicator sets work fine but a meter is easier to use and quicker. To measure EC you will need a meter.
What is EC?
EC=electrical conductivity. It tells you how much mineral salt (nutrients) you have in nutrient solution.
if you follow a strick schedule of changing solution every 2 weeks then you can get by with the EC meter. Your results will still be great, just no phenomenal.
Any recommendations from experience?
