Little red pebble like things

VeeBee38801June 9, 2014

I'm new to Garden Web and hoping someone can help me. The other morning I found small red-orange pebble like things under my cucumber plants. I don't know what to call them so don't know how to search to see if there are any others posts about them. I hope my picture is clear enough to see them. Does anyone know what they are?

Today they are a dull grey brown and kind of shriveled.

I posted this to the Garden Clinic forum but since I live in MS, I thought I would post it here as well in case its something local to the area.

Thanks for any help!

I found that once, too. I finally decided that is was pink clover bulblets (if there is such a word). You might want to sift them out of your soil. - Barbie
