growing apricots in the south

john222-gg(Mississippi 8a/8b)June 3, 2013

Am looking for anybody growing apricots in the south. I live in the deep south 8b/9 in Mississippi don't know if it is even possible to grow apricots in this area? I put in some new trees this year Royal and Early Golden was hoping to find someone that will tell me that I am not wasting my time. If you are growing apricots I sure would appreciate hearing from you and knowing what trees you have and how is the fruit. Thanks
