Transplant Japanese Red Maple

Oleah(z8a)October 28, 2004

My mother has a Japanese Red Maple that she said I could have. It has been in her yard for 6 years and is about 4-5 foot tall. Would it transplant okay? Is now a good time? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
