Crinum Lillies

brunswickcounty(z7 or 8)January 4, 2006

Is anyone familiar with crinum lillies (sometimes called spider lillies)? They're supposed to be drought tolerant and able to withstand the heat of Zone 8. So far, I've only been able to locate them through one reputable on-line source, but they're very expensive (from $20-$35 for each plant) which makes them out of my price range. If anyone knows of another cheaper source, I'd be grateful!

eBay!

Seriously. There is a reputable selling on eBay (seedman...something) that offers awesome varieties of excellent quality!

Best of luck,

Riz

Piksi hk-
I contacted Marcella (in Texas) but her website had a message that she had been injured and wasn't shipping any crinums for a while. She sent me an email saying that she hoped to be able to get back into her garden this spring or summer, but was still not able to do much. If I lived closer, I'd volunteer to go over and help her with the heavy work.
