How long do lily blooms last?

I'm new to lilies, and I was wondering if someone could tell me how long the blooms of an Oriental lily last before they fade?

This can depend on variety, sun exposure, weather during the summer, etc., but each flower can last up to 5-7 days from bud "break" to full blossom. As for an entire mature, blooming stem, two weeks is pretty average.

Hope this helps!

If you want to extend the 'look' of a planting, plant some of every kind: Early Asiatics followed by LA hybrids followed by Trumpets followed by Orientals.

Once an Oriental is established long enough to make a huge bulb, there might be enough buds to extend the total bloom time per stem to 3 weeks in a good season. I find lilies worth the effort for that short time.
