Asial Lilly

buzz_kyMarch 28, 2008

Help needed, my garden lilies bloomed last year and then dried up and in autumn the entire stem fell to the ground. I did see some bulbs in the soil when i added fertilizers. But i think the stem is still attached to it.

What do i do now? is it too late?

hi, are you talking about asiatic lilies? the stems die each fall and next spring will grow new ones. they are heavy feeders lile lots of fertilizer. the only thing that will kill a lily is soddy ground that doesn't drain. you ought to grow the trumpet and orienpets the fragrance is wonderful. delores
