Wind bent snap beas in half. Will they live?

wild_foragerMay 28, 2008

The wind knocked a bunch of my snap peas over. They were only able to hang on with the lower half of the plant. Some of them have a big crease on the stem now. Will this kill those plants? Some have much worse wounds as well. What can a snap pea tolerate?

Same thing happened to mine about a month ago. I just tied them up the best I could and they have been producing great. They don't look pretty and are a little hard to pick because they bunched up pretty bad, but it didn't hurt production.

That's exactly how mine are now, but good to know they'll live.
