what kind of lily is this?

Does this lily actually have a name besides "purple prince"? Does any one have these and can you recommend them for Zone 5. Thank you

First of all, 'Purple Prince' is not purple; it a darker pink/lavender--that photo is way off color. Second, it's not a tree; it's a plant. Purple Prince a member of the Genus 'Lilium', more specifically, a Division 8, Oriental-Trumpet hybrid.

It is very hardy here in zone 5. Strong vigorous grower. Mine get about 6 ft tall. Blooms early July here in Z5. Flowers seem somewhat small for the overall size and shape of the plant. Fairly high bud count. Some fragrance. Suggest some winter mulching if planted in open space area. Plant in well drained soil. Do not cut back until late fall leaving a 2 inch stub.

Interspecific: thank you for your comments. It seems Spring Hill has weird descriptions for some of their flowers. It sounds like a pretty color.
