Please help ID this lily

dirtslinger2(6)June 19, 2008

It may take me a few tries to ID this lily. It's planted in zone 5/6.

Almost looks like an orchid.

Thanks for any help!

It's an Erythronium, also known as Dog-tooth Violet or Trout Lily. Not a true lily (not in the genus Lilium), but has that lily-like flower. My guess would be the cultivar 'Pagoda.'
